You go Girl!
From the man who brought us the last 3 (non-silly?) Star Wars movies comes this gem of a quote while talking to Fox news about Spiderman 3:
"It's silly. It's a silly movie," he said. "There just isn't much there. Once you take it all apart, there's not much story, is there?"Well, it's not "Star Wars."
"People thought 'Star Wars' was silly, too," he added, with a wink. "But it wasn't."
It really depends on what particular Star Wars movie old George is talking about whether an appropriate argument can be made on the silliness factor. The original trilogy might technically be considered silly in the same way Spiderman 3 might be considered silly. The last 3 Star Wars movies are just sad, which is a far cry from silly.
I'm sorry, but while Spiderman 3 definitely wasn't the best of the trilogy George Lucas got his criticize card revoked when I couldn't sit through Attack of The Clones.
