Steve Blank
Great blog on startups.
The money quote:
I just kind of want to throw up my hands (or in my hands) and call out this character, this persona, this online half-person for what it is: bad for the Internet, bad for gay people, bad for the world. I can’t help but feel like everything would be better off without him… I racked my brain and I’ve still come up with absolutely nothing positive or pro-social that he has brought to the world.
I was going to get laser eye surgery a few years ago but got scared because of all the crap I read on the internet (later I found out my mom can't get it and most likely I can't either). I could have used a post like this a few years ago.

This ties in well with a Malcolm Gladwell (from Outliers) quote I really like:
Hard work is what successful people do.
Jeff Atwood also has a great piece on "overnight success" that ties in with this. Anyway, read the post, it is short and insightful (my favorite kind of blog post).
Good general overview on how to make your comments an important part of your site. The big takeaway is don't treat your comments section like a chore, enjoy it, participate in it, and it will grow and become an integral part of your site.
His name is Steve Yegge and he is pretty funny (and evidently well known, I had never heard of him though) for a tech guy.
It's cool to think that almost half a million people blog as their primary source of income, until you realize there are over 20 million blogs. Still, this post and the one on RWW I'm sure will encourage more people to go out and give blogging for a living a shot.
